Health, fitness, and a bigger guy trying to qualify for the boston marathon: a blog
I’ve always been a bigger guy, with a bigger appetite, who typically made fun of endurance athletes. Secretly, I think I was just upset with myself for not having the discipline to pursue something so challenging, to live in a cleaner, healthier way.
Now, as I’ve embraced a mindset of growth and curiosity, breaking an old way of thinking and pursuing optimal health is exciting to me. I want to prove that I, like every other regular dude (and lady), can achieve things that we once thought beyond us. Running in the Boston Marathon and legitimately qualifying with a sub 3:00 marathon, is one of those things; something I never would have though possible with my body and athleticism.
Beau 2 Boston is my journey to qualifying, and then running, the prestigious event, cataloging everything I’ve done that has aided my lifestyle, training, and performance. They are things everyone can do, in pursuit of collective health, happiness, and longevity. I’ll be funnier in the actual blog posts, I swear.
